How do I join?

Membership to UTMAS can be obtained in one of two ways:

1. Annual dues of $30 can be paid (pro-rated by the month for partial or initial year memberships) directly to UTMAS. Just register here first and then go here to pay your prorated membership fee.

2. It’s FREE!  Starting with your second year as a member you can obtain a membership fee waiver. If you collectively purchase $500 of goods from UTMAS sponsors in the previous 12 months (receipts required), your membership fee will be waived. If you wish to join in this manner, simply email copies of your purchases to membership@utmas.com or present them to the membership secretary at the next club meeting. So, sign up as a new member and start collecting those receipts NOW!

How are my membership fees used?

The membership fees go into the general treasury and are used for purchasing meeting space, speaker fees, supplies, printing, web services and other day to day needs of the club. All of the club income and expenses will be summarized and published in the member area of the community forum on a quarterly basis. We pride ourselves on being open in this area and welcome any questions you may have.

What are the benefits of membership?

Some sponsors of UTMAS offer member discounts or privileges. Simply present your official membership card to the sponsor or point them a link to your profile of the forum (for online sponsors). This page lists all the current sponsors of UTMAS.

In addition to the above, membership in UTMAS enables you to attend special events, areas of the web site, and discounts on club purchases such as frags and raffle tickets.

The best benefit has been saved for last: Simply being a formal member of a great, friendly and open marine aquarium club is the best benefit. Now go get your membership!
